Read these before pitching, they're the first thing we check.
Original & unpublished
Your piece must be written by you and never published anywhere else, including your own blog. We check.
First-hand experience
Write about places you've actually been and things you've actually done. Our readers can tell the difference, and so can we.
1,000 to 2,000 words
Long enough to be genuinely useful, short enough to respect the reader. Practical detail beats padding every time.
Helpful, honest voice
Write like you're helping a friend plan a trip, specific tips, real prices, honest downsides. No press-release fluff, no keyword stuffing.
No AI-generated content
We publish human stories and human expertise. AI-written submissions are rejected without exception.
Photos welcome
If you have your own high-quality photos, mention it in your pitch, original imagery makes a piece much stronger.
How it works
Send your pitch
Email detravelvibes@gmail.com with the subject "Guest Post Pitch". Include your proposed headline, a 3 to 4 sentence outline, and a couple of lines about you and your travels.
We review it
We reply to every serious pitch within a week. If it's a fit, we'll confirm the angle and agree on a deadline together.
Write & polish
Send your draft as a plain document. We edit collaboratively, expect thoughtful feedback, not a rubber stamp.
Get published
Your story goes live with your byline and a short author bio. Share it proudly, it's yours.
